Canine Surprises on Valentine’s Day for a Dog Lover

Valentine’s Day is not my favorite holiday because I’m single and don’t have a boyfriend. But my parents know this and like to make me feel included, so last Valentine’s Day they gave me a 22 inch Scooby Doo stuffed animal. If you’re one of the few people on earth who doesn’t know who Scooby Doo is, that is a cartoon dog who starred in popular long-running mystery show. This plush Scooby has a heart that says “secret admirer” on it and wears a red mask and a red cape with even more hearts on it. I joked with my Mom that it looks like a superhero maybe because of all the superhero TV shows and movies I’ve been watching recently.

This Valentine’s Day, one of my friends, Susan, who is one of the readers of my dog blog, surprised me with a box full of gifts including an adorable Valentine’s card (of course with dogs on it!), a pair of socks with Boston Terriers on each, and a wonderful book called “From Wags to Riches: How Dogs Teach Us to Succeed in Business & Life.” (I’ll have to review it when I’ve finished reading it!). The box also contained a rose and other little goodies. It was so thoughtful and so appreciated!

I’m very thankful to everyone who sent me cards, texts, etc. on Valentine’s Day. I want you to know that it made me feel loved. Maybe now Valentine’s Day can move ahead of Black Friday on my list of least favorite holidays.

I’ve always loved to write stories ever since I was a kid. I started writing stories again, at the end of 2020. These stories will be about not only how we change dog’s lives, but how they change ours as well.
