I don’t usually do any challenge posts, but I realized that as hard as this year has been for everyone, 2020 had its good moments too.

1. My biggest highlight of this year was my surprise dog drive through birthday party. I was so overwhelmed with joy that so many people showed up to make my birthday and Sunny’s ‘Gotcha Day’ so special.

2.I was grateful to have books to read this year. No matter how hard it got, I had the opportunity to get lost in a good book.

3. My brother’s dog Zoey got jealous of the new puppy, wanted my attention so badly, and snuck up behind me to give me kisses. (Which gave me some cute memories to share.)

4. Zoey waited until everyone was asleep to come into my room, wait for me to pat the bed, giving her permission to sleep in the bed with me. At some point, she was curled up, sound asleep on my bed, and I was on the floor. That gave my family and me a good laugh.
5. My sister in law remembered me telling her years ago, that I loved to write short stories. Thanks to some friends and family, I decided to write again. I had almost forgotten how fun that was. Now I have an old hobby to get back into.
What got you through 2020?
Awesome, Julia!
